Perhaps, one of the weirdest things I have ever encountered when it came to weddings would have to be getting married in an airplane. An officemate of mine actually hired a private jet and exchanged vows in the air. They had everything that a normal wedding had. They had decorated aisles, guests (although this was limited since the plane could only accommodate about 50-75 people) and they even had the traditional throwing of the silver beaded organza wedding garter in white. It was definitely a fun wedding to attend to since it was so different.
Now, like everybody there, people were wondering why they had picked such an unusual wedding location for their big day. The reason behind the airplane wedding was that they first met in an airplane. The bride was a stewardess and the groom was a passenger. It was love at first sight, they said and since then, the groom would always make sure that he would ride on the same flights as the girl. Of course, it wasn’t long until he finally had the courage to ask for her number and ask her out. The rest, they say, is history. I think it was a lovely wedding. All the guests seemed to have fun as well because it was definitely not an ordinary wedding.
