One of the things a friend of mine, a June bride, is considering gifting her entourage or bridesmaids this very simply styled Personalized Freshwater Pearl Pendant Jewelry Set. The piece is understated but fashionably elegant. And this is great for the bride and her entourage actually.
According to the latest in what’s hot in bridal fashion jewelry — subtle style is the trend of the season. Big, bulky jewelry is out.
Wearing jewelry pieces as big as chandeliers or doorknobs is considered tacky for a wedding. Jewelry is supposed to accent, not overpower the dress, so less is definitely more.
Apparently, this same trend goes for engagement rings. Maybe it’s because of the recession or maybe because people are now more aware that making such a statement — such as “We’re getting married” or “We’re engaged” — doesn’t need to be flashy.
Well, personally, I’ve always liked subtle jewelry than anything. Though big jewelry also have a place in my wardrobe, except that I don’t have to wear this for weddings. Maybe if I’m off to a big fiesta celebration of some sorts, big jewelry would be appropriate. But for weddings, the simple it is, the better it looks.
I can imagine my friends’ bridesmaids walking down the aisle in their coordinated necklaces and beautiful dresses. It’s going to be a wonderful wedding!
