Obsessing Over Flowers
There’s no denying the fact that whenever I attend a wedding, I always try and look at the type of flowers used first. I’ve always grown up loving flowers, even since I was little I used to make little flower bouquets at the expense of my mother’s garden. Sometimes, I would gather up the roses, pretend I had a sweet bow flower basket on my hand and then walk down the aisle as if I was a flower girl. Of course, my mother always caught me in time and I pretty much got an earful after I left most of her flower garden bare. However, I like to think that all those years of practice in picking flowers allowed me to have a keener eye when it comes to these beautiful stems.
I always arranged and picked flowers for my home and when my friend came over and saw it one time, she asked me if I could do her a favor and help her out with creating a flower centerpiece for a big corporate dinner they had. So I helped her out and she said that the arrangement got positive comments. So now, in the next couple of weeks, I’ll be helping out with creating the flower bouquets for my friend’s officemate wedding. I guess, my background in the arts is helping as well. She wants me to design a unique flower bouquet for her, something that will pop. I haven’t come up with anything yet, so I definitely have my work cut out for me. Hopefully, inspiration will hit me soon.
