Who’s Who On The Guest List
Last year, I was able to go to a wedding where the couple gave away two sets of wedding memorabilia to their guests. Three fourths of these guests received a CD collection of the couple’s favorite songs, while the other one fourth received a vintage wine along with monogrammed white wine glasses. While I got the wine with the glasses, I wasn’t so keen on the classification and was truthfully more interested about getting the CD instead. I don’t know how the couple picked their guests. It isn’t only the wedding favors but all throughout the wedding, we all felt like we were attending two occasions. I guess the groups and the classifications only made sense to the couple. Maybe they wanted everyone to be there, but had to work with their budget. Anyway, it is their wedding, after all.
For other couples who are getting married, who you pick as guests depends on what kind of wedding you would like. Your budget and your vision must coincide and work perfectly with what you want. You should start making a list early and put the names of those who you’d like to be in the wedding. If the budget doesn’t allow for 200 guests, and you have a list of 500, you will have to start making cuts and picking out people off your list. Yes, I know it’s tough. It would be like favoring one over the other, but since this is your wedding, you call the shots.
